Virtual Concert Series 2020-2021

Millennium Chamber Players has entered the digital concert hall with our first MCP 2020-2021 season performance, “Music Speaks.” The virtual concert was presented via Zoom on Saturday, October 24.

As we are all aware, music and the arts have had to endure immeasurable loss amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. The circumstances have challenged artists to utilize their creativity and imagination in new ways, to make and share their work, often at the price of lost or no income. Along with all performing arts groups and organizations, the Millennium Chamber Players had to pause its 2020 performances, music & wellness, and educational programs. As this pandemic persists, we choose to carry onwards, and plan to share with you new music experiences while maintaining the highest artistic standards.

“Music Speaks” is a program of selected works composed during times of human crises, both through history and the present. The featured MCP Young Artist for this special presentation is Clarinetist Eve Budd, student at LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts.

Featured Millennium Chamber Players:

Bela Horvath, Violin

Anna Maria Manalo, Violin

Anna Heflin, Viola

Sonna Kim, Cello

Pedro Giruardo, Bass

Rex Benincasa, Percussion
